Chapters 1-5 persuasive

Daniel is asked many times to keep his opinions to himself to keep the village safe. Is there a time and place to speak out against injustice? Should Daniel speak out? Explain.

  1. There is always a time to speak out against injustice, but because of our sinful natures, when we speak out, sometimes there are consequences. Although, Daniel could get killed or hurt, I think Daniel should speak out. The consequence is most likely the town will get burned and everyone will die, but in the end, you go to heaven so why should it matter? Daniel and the people should all stand up, even if it means losing there lives. They should give their lives up for God, just like Jesus gave up his life for ours.

  2. There is places when you should speak out against injustice like if one of your friends is hurting someone you should speak up against them and tell them not to do it. Daniel should speak out so the government changes there wicked ways but there well be consequences.

  3. There is a time to speak, but not when you could possibly hurt or harm the people you know and love. When people speak against God that is a great time to speak out. Daniel should speak out but there are also times when he really shouldn't say anything. Because we are sinful sometimes it becomes hard to keep our anger inside.

  4. There is always a time to speak out against injustice. Daniel should speak out because someone in the town needs to say that the Roman Empier is wrong. He should wait until Rosh says that they can strike and then he should fight with Rosh and Joel. (I think that that's what he'll do) Daniel should also follow Jesus and help Jesus escape whenever he can help.

  5. This is the thingy!
Yes because Daniel and others don’t like the Romans and they want to put the end to the Roman soldiers, but since we are sinful, there could be very very bad consequences like death or torture and stuff like that.

  6. An example of a time to speak out would be if someone is telling a lie to hurt someone else. We in our society today are free to share our opinions and tell even the government what we think is wrong. They (the people in Daniel's time), on the other hand, could be harshly punished if they spoke out against the government. If Daniel is going to speak out against the Romans, he and the people associated with him have to be willing to face the consequences. Daniel needs to think not only for himself and his feelings, but for others as well.

  7. There is a time to speak out especially when it goes against the Bible. When people are hurting you or hurting someone else for faulty reasons, then that is when you can speak out against them. You might get hurt because you spoke out, but that shouldn’t discourage you. You should always forgive someone for their mistakes. You should never hate them. If you are speaking against them for the right reasons, it is the right time to do that. The Romans were going to burn down the town if someone spoke against them. Daniel should speak out against them because God tells us not to be afraid of people who persecute you. I you love and forgive a person, they will hopefully know Christ eventually.

  8. Yes there is a time and a place for speaking out. If it were about the religion you believe in and someone started to talk bad about it then you could speak out for your faith and stick up for what you believe in. If you were to speak out against what type of pizza is the best then it would just be wise to keep your comments to yourself and walk away.

  9. There's always a time and place to do something but its not appropriate to do so in the position Daniel is in now. he could be put to death or suffer something much worse. Daniel should speak out when there is someone there with him who he can trust wont back down to stand up to the Romans so if a fight does start you could atleast defend ypur self. Because if you give up you wont live and you need smething to live for otherwise its the life you don't want to live
